SoftPOS Privacy Policy
SoftPOS is an app provided by Masarat IT & Financial Services Company, available exclusively on Android, that enables merchants to accept NFC-based card payments (physical or digital) through their mobile devices. This Privacy Policy describes how Masarat IT & Financial Services Company (“Masarat,” “We,” “Us,” or “Our”) collects, uses, and discloses information in connection with your use of the SoftPOS mobile application (“App”).

Interpretation
The words of which the initial letter is capitalized have meanings defined under the following conditions. The following definitions shall have the same meaning regardless of whether they appear in singular or in plural.

For the purposes of this Privacy Policy:
- Application refers to SoftPOS mobile application, the software program provided by the Company.
- Company (referred to as either “the Company”, “We”, “Us” or “Our” in this Agreement) refers to Masarat for IT and financial services, Tripoli, Libya.
- Country refers to: Libya
- Device means any device that can access the Service such as a computer, a cellphone or a digital tablet.
- Personal Data is any information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual.
- Transaction Data means information related to a payment transaction, including transaction amount, date, time, reference ID, and masked card details.
- Service refers to the Application.
- Usage Data refers to information collected automatically, either generated by the use of the Service or from the Service infrastructure itself, such as IP address, app logs, and device identifiers.
Information We Collect
We collect information to enable a smooth and secure experience while using SoftPOS for your payment transactions. This information includes:
- Merchant and POS Information
Example: Name of merchant & POS ID.
- Transaction Data
Example: Transaction amount, date, time, and reference ID, along with masked card details (no full card numbers stored).
- Device Information
Example: Device model & operating system version.
- App Usage Data
Example: IP address, unique device identifiers, and error logs.
No Sensitive Personal Information Storage
We do not store sensitive customer details such as full debit card numbers.
App Permissions
SoftPOS requires certain permissions to function properly. These permissions allow the app to access specific device features but do not collect unnecessary personal data:
- Internet: Required for secure communication between the App and Our/Minesec servers to process transactions.
- NFC: Enables contactless payment transactions.
- Stay Awake: Prevents the screen from turning off during a transaction to ensure successful processing.
- Vibration: To provide haptic feedback for notifications.
- Notifications: To inform you of account activities and updates.
Sharing Your Information
We share your information only in the following cases:
- With Minesec for merchant account setup and payment processing
- With regulatory authorities if required by law
We do not share your information with third-party vendors for marketing purposes.

SoftPOS is not intended for children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices or to comply with legal requirements. Significant changes will be communicated through the SoftPOS app.
