This Privacy Policy describes how Masarat IT & Financial Services Company (“Masarat”), on behalf of “Wahda bank” payment solution (“MobiCash”), collects, uses, and discloses information in connection with your use of the MobiCash mobile application (“App”).
The following privacy policy discloses existing features and announcing new services and features within the payment “Application” Mobicash such as: cross payment transactions within all payment applications for local Libyan banks, NFC payment for contactless safe and fast payment, Cash advance services, as well as the ability to generate and scan QR codes to ease the user’s journey as we are constantly working on improving our products.

We collect information to enable a smooth and secure experience while using MobiCash for your purchasing transactions. This information includes:
- Location Information (Optional): We may request your location information to provide features like finding nearby Point of sales and Merchants. (requires your permission).
- Device Information: Basic information about your device, such as model and operating system, helps us understand how the App functions on different devices.
- App Usage Data: We analyze how you use the App to improve its performance and functionality (e.g., frequency of features used).
Usage Data is collected automatically when using the Service.
Usage Data may include information such as Your Device’s Internet Protocol address (e.g., IP address), the time and date of Your visit, the time spent on those pages, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data, the type of mobile device You use, Your mobile device unique ID, Your mobile operating system, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.
The application may require to read external storage in order to assure creation, display and save of PDF files within the app features such as (transfer receipts, statements, .etc. )
We do not store or transmit any data nor access external device storage.
We take your security seriously and we shall not access device storage or misuse your data.
- No Personal Information Storage: We do not store any sensitive personal information like account credentials, social security numbers, or complete debit/credit card details within the App.
App Permissions
MobiCash requires certain permissions to function properly. These permissions allow access to specific functionalities but do not collect your personal information:
- Location (Optional): Allows you to find nearby Point of sales and merchants. (requires your permission).
- Internet: Enables communication between the App and Wahda Bank’s servers for transactions.
- Stay Awake: Ensures the App functions smoothly during transactions (e.g., preventing screen dimming).
- Network Connection: Checks your internet connectivity for functionalities requiring it.
- Notifications: Allows the App to send you alerts about your account activity and updates.
- Camera: Enables scanning QR codes for faster transactions (requires your permission) And uploading store image (profile image of merchant)
- Flashlight: Allows using the flashlight for QR code scanning in low-light conditions (requires your permission).
- Vibration: Alerts you with a vibration for notifications.
- Photo Library: Allows uploading store image through photo album (profile image of merchant).
Sharing Your Information
We share your information only with Wahda Bank to process your transactions and ensure account security. We do not share your information with any third-party vendors or for any marketing purposes.

Masarat and Wahda Bank are committed to protecting your financial information. We use industry-standard security measures to safeguard your data, including:

You can manage your App permissions through your device settings. opting out of optional permissions like location won’t affect core functionalities but may limit some features.

MobiCash is not directed towards children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
